Grant began singing and playing the guitar as a preteen and has spent the last 10 years playing professionally in Dallas, Boston, and Tucson. In addition to writing, recording and performing his own original music, Grant has played with various cover and original groups spanning a wide array of genres including folk, rock, country, jazz, and funk.
