Russ Hewitt is best known for his Spanish and Latin style guitar. He has opened for Josh Groban at the Robert Mondavi Winery in Napa and performed for 10,000 people at a charity event for Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, as well as at a gala for Trammell S. Crow, with a Symphony Orchestra, and at private events. His music is listener-friendly and accessible, featuring sweeping ballads and mid to uptempo songs that can be customized for any occasion.

Combining lightning guitar runs with unique rhythms, Hewitt's original music creates an electrifying experience. He describes his style as fusing Spanish, Flamenco, jazz, Latin, Cuban, and Brazilian influences without adhering to specific rules, allowing him the freedom to create without boundaries.

Hewitt can perform solo, as a duo, trio (all with the option of backing tracks), or with a full band, incorporating various instruments such as violin, percussion, rhythm guitar, drums, bass, hand drums, or any instrument imaginable.

Holding a performance degree from the University of North Texas, Hewitt is also a voter for the Grammys and Latin Grammys. His recordings have resulted in multiple Top 40 Jazz singles, Grammy consideration, and he has received international acclaim, including the cover of CUTAWAY Guitar magazine from Spain and a three-page feature in Italy's largest print guitar magazine, Guitar Club. In 2023, he was inducted into the INDIE MUSIC HALL OF FAME.
